Camp Council

 

Hesperus By-Laws allow for two council members to be appointed to the Camp Council by each church in the Mesa Verde and San Juan Associations.  These members must be made known to the camp for inclusion in the voting membership.  To help keep our records up to date we ask that each church affirm each year who their members are by completing and signing the Hesperus Camp Council Membership Appointment Form.  Please fill out this form and submit it to the camp office at 22265 Hwy 140, Hesperus, CO 81326.  Should you have any questions please contact the office at 970.385.4389. Meetings are held 3 times each year in March, July, and November.  November is designated as the annual meeting.  Meetings are held at the camp, usually on Saturday beginning with lunch.  Primary communication regarding meetings and other information is by email.

 

While each church has the opportunity to seat two voting council members, it is the desire of the Board of Directors that each voting member participate with their spouse.  Only the members officially appointed by the church may participate in a vote, but input is desired from all in attendance.
